MONDAY'S GAMES: The Jets fell to the NY Rangers at Madison Square Garden, which kept them at a stand-still with 38 points. The good news was that Carolina fell to the Canadiens 4-1 in Montreal and remain four points behind the Jets. The NY Islanders beat the NJ Devils 3-1 to remain neck-and-neck with the NY Rangers with 37 points, hoping to squeeze above the line for the 8th and final seed in the East. The result of the day, the Jets hold on to the third spot in the Eastern Conference with the Southeast Division lead.

WHO TO WATCH ON TUESDAY: Jets at Islanders; Washington at Carolina.
