Evander Kane picked up his first goal of the tournament tying the game 3-3 midway through the third period.

Andrew Ladd played 11:48 of ice-time against the USA and registered three shots on net and two penalty minutes.

Jim Slater opened the scoring for the Americans just 1:10 into the first period. He fired a shot through traffic that beat Canadian netminder Cam Ward to put his team up 1-0. He had three shots in 15:07 of ice-time and was announced player of the game for Team USA.
