At 26-years-old, Mathieu Perreault will bring his youth to Winnipeg when training camp begins in September. The Drummondville, QC native will also bring something valuable to a Winnipeg Jets roster looking to take the next step: playoff experience.

Perreault has played in the postseason the last three years, twice with the Washington Capitals and once with Anaheim Ducks. Since being drafted in the 6th round of the 2006 NHL draft, Perreault has accumulated 113 points in 228 NHL games.
When General Manager Kevin Cheveldayoff met with the media on the first day of free agency, he was happy to comment on how Perreault fits in with the Jets.
