WINNIPEG, Oct. 9, 2020-The Winnipeg Jets announced today they have agreed to terms with forward Mason Appleton on a two-year contract with an average annual value of $900,000.

Appleton, 24, played 46 games for the Jets in 2019-20 and had eight points (5G, 3A) and 20 penalty minutes. The Green Bay, Wisc. native also made his NHL postseason debut with a plus-one performance on Aug. 1 against the Calgary Flames. Appleton, Winnipeg's sixth round pick (168th overall) in the 2015 NHL Draft, also skated in four games for the Manitoba Moose last season after he broke into the NHL in 2018-19 when he had 10 points (3G, 7A) and four PIMs in 36 games for the Jets.
