Jets sign JC Lipon

Winnipeg, MB - The Winnipeg Jets announced they have agreed to terms with forward JC Lipon on a one-year, two-way contract with an average annual value of $650,000.

Lipon, 24, played in 71 games for the Manitoba Moose last season and had 30 points (12G, 18A) and 129 penalty minutes. He made his NHL debut in 2015-16 and played nine games for the Jets, recording an assist and five PIMs. Lipon has played in 263 games for the Moose and the St. John's IceCaps over the last four seasons and recorded 128 points (39G, 89A) and 515 PIMs.
Lipon was drafted by the Jets in the third round (91st overall) in the 2013 NHL Draft.
