Jets Release 2013-14 Regular Season Schedule

The Winnipeg Jets Hockey Club, in conjunction with the National Hockey League, today released their 82-game schedule for the 2013-14 NHL regular season.

The Jets will begin their third season back in the NHL with their first-ever opening road game as they face the Oilers at Rexall Place in Edmonton on Tuesday, October 1, 2013. Game time is 9:00 p.m. CT. The Jets open the 2013-14 home season at MTS Centre with a weekend set beginning on Friday, October 4 against the Los Angeles Kings and the Anaheim Ducks on Sunday, October 6. Both games will begin at 7:00 p.m. CT.

There will be seven all-Canadian match-ups at MTS Centre during the 2013-14 season. Winnipeg hosts the Montreal Canadiens on October 15, the Calgary Flames on November 18, the Edmonton Oilers on January 18, the Toronto Maple Leafs on January 25, the Vancouver Canucks on both January 31 and March 12 and the Ottawa Senators on March 8.

Winnipeg will once again play a New Year’s Eve match-up when they host the Buffalo Sabres on Tuesday, December 31. Game time is 6:00 p.m. CT.

The Jets will play the 2013-14 season in the Central Division of the Western Conference. As a result, Winnipeg will face their division rivals Chicago Blackhawks, Colorado Avalanche, Dallas Stars, Minnesota Wild, Nashville Predators and St. Louis Blues a total of 29 times. Winnipeg will host the defending Stanley Cup Champion Chicago Blackhawks twice - November 2 & November 21.

The Jets will play the remainder of their Western Conference rivals from the Pacific Division – Anaheim Ducks, Calgary Flames, Edmonton Oilers, Los Angeles Kings, Phoenix Coyotes, San Jose Sharks and Vancouver Canucks - a total of 21 times. The Jets will also host and visit every team in the Eastern Conference once throughout the 2013-14 season.

Winnipeg’s longest home stand will last six games beginning on October 11, when they host the Dallas Stars, and ending on October 22 versus the Washington Capitals. The team will take to the road for a season-high six consecutive games beginning November 25 in New Jersey against the Devils and concluding on December 7 at the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Start times are indicated on the attached schedule in central time. Times may vary depending on broadcast requirements. Television broadcast schedules have yet to be determined. All 82 games will be broadcast on TSN 1290 with Dennis Beyak, Brian Munz and Shane Hnidy.
