Winnipeg Jets public address announcer Jay Richardson has been selected as one of two to handle the PA duties for the World Cup of Hockey, Sept. 17 to Oct. 1 at Toronto's Air Canada Centre.
Richardson will split the games with Al Murdoch, the longtime voice of the Vancouver Canucks.
Richardson began with the Manitoba Moose and worked the final four games at the old Winnipeg Arena. He's been the voice at MTS Centre ever since, calling more than 400 games in his
12-plus years behind the mic.
Congratulations to one of Winnipeg's own!
