The sixth day at the 2022 IIHF World Hockey Championship went by with no Winnipeg Jets players on the ice, but on the seventh day, all four of them were on the ice.

USA 3, GREAT BRITAIN 0
The United States used their two days away from game action to the fullest, as they returned to the ice with a 3-0 win over Great Britain to improve to 2-1-0-1.
In their last outing before the two-day break, the Americans dropped a chippy 4-1 tilt to the hosts from Finland, and needed a victory to vault themselves up the Pool B standings.
After a scoreless first period, Nate Schmidt picked up his first of two assists in the game on the game's opening goal. The Jets defenceman won a board battle in the Great Britain zone, and Ben Meyers swooped in to pick up the loose puck. He sent a pass to the right point to Andrew Peeke, then redirected Peeke's shot past goaltender Jackson Whistle to make it 1-0.
Kieffer Bellows scored his first of two goals just 58 seconds into the second to make it 2-0 for the USA, then put the game on ice with his second of the game only 2:43 after his first.
His second goal came on the power play, with Schmidt drawing the second assist as Bellows fired a wrister past Whistle from the right circle.
Schmidt now has three points in four games at the tournament.
Next up for the Americans is a match-up with Sweden, one of the top teams in Pool B, on Saturday.

DENMARK 0, GERMANY 1
Following a day off yesterday, Nikolaj Ehlers and Denmark were looking to string together consecutive wins following Tuesday's victory over Italy.
However, German goaltender Philipp Grubauer had other ideas.
Grubauer made 18 saves - including four on Ehlers - as he earned the shutout in Germany's 1-0 win.
The only goal of the game came in the second period as Marc Michaelis scored a power play goal 12:41 into the middle frame. Michaelis was posted up in the slot, then redirected a pass from Marcel Noebels past Sebastian Dahm.
Denmark is now 2-0-0-2, and Ehlers has one goal and four points in the tournament.
The next action for Denmark - who sits fourth in Pool A - comes against France on Saturday.

CANADA 6 , KAZAKHSTAN 3
Canada improved to 4-0-0-0 at this year's tournament with a back-and-forth 6-3 win over Kazakhstan on Thursday.
Adam Lowry scored his second of the tournament to give Canada a 3-2 lead with 2:40 left in the first. Meanwhile, Pierre-Luc Dubois tallied an assist on Dylan Cozens' third goal of the game with 49 seconds left in regulation.
From a net front position, Lowry redirected a perfect pass from Kent Johnson past the leg of Kazakhstan goaltender Andrei Shutov. It was Canada's first lead of the game, after falling behind 1-0 and 2-1 at different points of the opening period.

Lowry's goal put Canada ahead for good, as Damon Severson's second period marker increased Canada's lead to 4-2.
But Kazakhstan didn't make it easy on Canada, as Kirill Savitski beat Canadian goaltender Logan Thompson 7:55 into the third to make it 4-3.
Cozens took over from there, though. Less than five minutes after Savitski's goal, Cozens buried a one-timer on the power play from the left circle to make it 5-3, and finished the hat trick on a give-and-go play with Dubois in the final minute of regulation.
With six points in four games, Dubois is tied for third in the tournament in points. His four goals are tied for the most in the tournament with Sweden's Rasmus Asplund and Switzerland's Denis Malgin.
Lowry is also averaging more than a point per game so far, with two goals and five points.
The next action for Canada comes on Saturday against Switzerland, who is tied with the Canadians for top spot in Group A.
