Nikolaj Ehlers and Denmark celebrated a milestone in the summer when they earned the country's first berth into the Olympic Winter Games.
On Monday, they celebrated another milestone by beating Canada for the first time in 73 years.

DENMARK 3, CANADA 2
Three members of the Winnipeg Jets were involved in the game, and all three got on the scoresheet.
First, it was Adam Lowry, who helped Canada cut into Denmark's 2-0 lead 2:33 into the second. Lowry won a face-off to the right of Danish goaltender Sebastian Dahm, and Max Comtois jumped on that puck and snapped it home to make it 2-1.
It was Lowry's seventh point of the tournament in Canada's six games.
In the third, with 7:49 to go in regulation - and with Denmark on a power play - Ehlers sent a pass from below the goal line out front to Mathias Bau, who beat Canadian goaltender Chris Driedger on the stick side to make it 3-1 Denmark.
Ehlers now has five assists and six points in six games.

Canada made things interesting with 3:51 left in the game, when Ryan Graves blasted a shot from the top of the right circle to make it 3-2. Pierre-Luc Dubois picked up a secondary assist on the goal, but that's as close as Canada would get.
With one game to go in the preliminary round, Dubois has seven points.
The loss is Canada's second straight (after a loss to Switzerland two days ago), so their record sits at 4-0-0-2. Denmark is also 4-0-0-2, but the Danes hold down third spot in Group A with Canada in fourth.
Denmark's final preliminary round game comes on Tuesday against Slovakia, while Canada wraps up their schedule against France.

USA 0, CZECHIA 1
Just as Canada sits in fourth in their group, so too does Nate Schmidt and the USA in Group B.
The Americans outshot Czechia 24-16, but weren't able to beat goaltender Karel Vejmelka, as their record drops to 2-2-0-2 on the tournament.
Schmidt played 24:58 in the contest, behind only Seth Jones' 30:57 for the most on the team.
Schmidt also had three shots on goal in the game.
The only goal was scored in the first period, as Matej Blumel lit the lamp 7:53 into the contest by beating Jeremy Swayman.
Heading into the preliminary round finale against Norway on Tuesday, Schmidt has four points in six games.
