Jets Assign Pardy to IceCaps, Activate Clitsome

The Winnipeg Jets today announced they have assigned defenceman Adam Pardy to the St. John’s IceCaps of the American Hockey League. The Jets also announced they have activated defenceman Grant Clitsome from the injured reserve list.

Pardy, 29, played in 17 games last season with the Buffalo Sabres where he collected four assists and 14 penalty minutes. He also appeared in 21 games last year with the Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League where he recorded nine points (2G,7A) and 22 penalty minutes.

The native of Bonavista, NF has played in 200 career NHL games with Calgary, Dallas, and Buffalo over eight seasons where he scored 33 points (4G,29A) and collected 171 penalty minutes. He also played in six Stanley Cup playoff games with Calgary in 2009 where he collected a pair of assists.

Pardy was originally drafted by the Flames in the sixth round, 173rd overall in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.
