Jets Acquire Rights to Goaltender Jonas Gustavsson
by Staff Writer / Winnipeg JetsThe Winnipeg Jets today announced they have acquired the rights to goaltender Jonas Gustavsson from the Toronto Maple Leafs for a conditional seventh round draft pick in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.
Gustavsson, 27, played in 42 games with the Toronto Maple Leafs last season where he earned a 17-17-4 record, 2.92 goals against average and 0.902 save percentage.
The Danderyd, Sweden native has played in 107 career NHL games with the Maple Leafs for a career 2.98 goals against average and 0.900 save percentage.
He represented Team Sweden at the 2009 and 2010 IIHF World Championship, winning the bronze medal in both tournaments.
