WINNIPEG, Feb. 25, 2019 - The Winnipeg Jets announced today they have acquired forward Matt Hendricks from the Minnesota Wild in exchange for a seventh-round draft pick in the 2020 NHL Draft.

Hendricks, 37, has played 22 games for the Wild this season and has two assists and 19 penalty minutes. The Blaine, Minn. native spent the 2017-18 season with the Jets and posted 13 points (5G, 8A) and 39 PIMs in 60 games and also played five playoff games for Winnipeg. The 2000 fifth round pick has played 603 career games with six teams and has 115 points (54G, 61A) and 722 PIMs. Hendricks has also played in 39 career playoff games, posting two points (1G, 1A) and 14 PIMs. Internationally, he won a bronze medal for the USA at the 2015 World Championships and also represented them at the 2016 Worlds.
Hendricks was drafted by the Nashville Predators in the fifth round (131st overall) in the 2000 NHL Draft.
