Today's Game
The Winnipeg Jets return to Bell MTS Place this afternoon for Game 5 of the Western Conference Final against the Vegas Golden Knights...Winnipeg lost 3-2 in Vegas on Friday night and trail the best- of-seven series three games to one...If necessary, Game 6 of the series is slated for Tuesday night at T-Mobile Arena in Vegas.

Facing Elimination
The Jets are facing elimination for the second time during the 2018 Stanley Cup Playoffs... Winnipeg also faced a must-win game in the second round against the Nashville Predators in Game 7, prevailing 4-2...The franchise is 1-2 all-time in elimination games.
Afternoon Delight
This is the first afternoon game of the playoffs for the Jets...During the regular season, the Jets were 4-3-0 in afternoon games, including 2-1-0 at Bell MTS Place...The only previous playoff day game in franchise history was back in 2007 when the Atlanta Thrashers lost 2-1 to the New York Rangers on Apr. 14/2007.
Fear the White Out
Despite losing three of their last four games at home, Bell MTS Place has not been kind to opposing teams this season, as the Jets finished the regular season with the best home record in the NHL at 32-7- 2...The Jets won their last nine games of the regular season in front of their home crowd and their first four home games during the playoffs to extend the winning streak to a combined 13 games, which ended after the 2-1 loss to the Predators in Game 4 in the second round...Winnipeg outscored their opposition 52-27 in those 13 games.
Strong Finish
Tyler Myers' third period goal in Game 4 was the Jets NHL-leading 21st third period goal of the playoffs... The Jets have only surrendered 11 third period goals for an NHL-best plus-10 goal differential...The third periods have been the best frame for the Jets in the playoffs, as Winnipeg has an even goal differential in first periods and plus-three goal differential in second periods.
Back-to-Back-to-Back Losses
The Jets have lost three consecutive games for the first time in the 2018 Stanley Cup Playoffs...The last time in the regular season the Jets lost three consecutive games was a three-game losing streak (0-2-1) from Mar. 10-13...Winnipeg did not lose three consecutive games in regulation during the regular season.
Physical Contests
The Jets had a playoff-high 48 hits in Game 3 in Vegas and followed that with 43 hits in Game 4...It was the first time in the playoffs the Jets surpassed 40 hits in a game...Winnipeg had more than 40 hits in a game just once during the regular season (45 - Mar. 29 at CHI)...The Jets have outhit Vegas 143-123 in the series.
Fearless Leader
Jets head coach Paul Maurice is coaching in the postseason for the sixth time in his career...Maurice is 34-39 behind the bench in playoff games, with the highlight of his postseason success coming in 2002 when he coached the Carolina Hurricanes to the Stanley Cup Final...The Game 1 win against Minnesota in the first round was his first playoff victory since 2009 when he coached Carolina.

Tyler Myers scored his fourth goal of the playoffs in Game 4 against Vegas...He had six goals in 82 games during the regular season...Prior to this season, Myers had a single goal in each of his three previous appearances in the Stanley Cup Playoffs (Buffalo - 2010 and 2011; Winnipeg - 2015)...Dustin Byfuglien has five goals in the playoffs, giving the Jets two defenceman among their top five goal scorers in the playoffs...Byfuglien had eight goals in 68 regular season games.
Wheelin' Wingman
Blake Wheeler had an assist in Game 4 against Vegas and leads the NHL in the playoffs with 18 assists...He has 11 assists in his last seven games, including four multiple assist games...Wheeler has an assist in four of his last five games...He joins Vegas' Reilly Smith as the only two players playing in the conference finals that are averaging an assist per game in the playoffs...Wheeler was tied for the NHL lead in assists during the regular season with 68 assists.

Despite being held off the scoresheet in Game 4, rookie forward Kyle Connor has points in four of his last seven games...He has seven points in his last seven games (3G, 4A), which includes a pair of multi-point efforts...Connor leads all rookies in scoring in the playoffs with 10 points (3G, 7A) in 16 games...During the regular season, Connor led all rookies in goals with 31 and finished fourth in scoring with 57 points (31G, 26A) in 76 games.
Goals Attained
Mark Scheifele was held scoreless in Game 4 against Vegas, but leads in the NHL in the playoffs with 14 goals...He has scored 11 of his 14 goals on the road, which is an NHL record for most road goals in a playoff season...Scheifele also set an NHL record for most road goals in a playoff series against Nashville in the second round with seven...He had a pair of goals in each of Game 1, 2 and 7 in Nashville during the second round...Scheifele has a goal in nine of Winnipeg's 16 playoff games...He had a four-game goal scoring streak from Game 4 at Minnesota in the first round to Game 2 at Nashville in the second round (Apr. 17-29) and has scored in two of his last three games.
OT Magic
Dustin Byfuglien and Paul Stastny are the only two players on the Jets roster to score an overtime goal in the Stanley Cup Playoffs...Byfuglien did it during his time with the Chicago Blackhawks, while Paul Stastny did it with the Colorado Avalanche, which occurred against these same Wild on Apr. 17/14...In that game Stastny also scored the game-tying goal with 14 seconds remaining in the third period.
