The Winnipeg Jets continue a four-game road trip today at Bell Centre against the Montreal Canadiens…The Jets have points in back-to-back games and are coming off a 4-3 overtime loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins on Thursday night…Patrik Laine, Paul Postma and Dustin Byfuglien scored for the Jets against the Penguins, while Mark Scheifele registered two assists…The Canadiens are playing their first game after their five-day player break…The Jets continue their road trip Sunday afternoon against the Ottawa Senators.
Only the Hits
The Jets dished out 49 hits against the Penguins on Thursday, which is the second most hits Winnipeg has had in a game this season (Winnipeg had 51 hits on their season opener on Oct. 13 vs. Carolina)…It's the third time this season the Jets have registered 47 or more hits in a game, which is the most in the NHL…The Jets outhit the Canadiens 26-7 in the first meeting between the two teams this season…Winnipeg is playing back-to-back games against two of the teams that are susceptible to being hit the most, as the Canadiens have been on the receiving end of 40 or more hits in a game eight times this season, which is second to the 10 games the Penguins have been hit 40 or more times.

The Jets are averaging 2.87 goals per game this season, which is ninth in the NHL…The Jets have scored at least three goals in back-to-back games after going four straight games without scoring three times…Winnipeg also boasts a 9.7% team shooting percentage, which is tied for seventh in the NHL…In the last month, the Jets team shooting percentage is eighth in the NHL at 10.7%...The Jets fired a season-high 47 shots on Thursday in Pittsburgh and are averaging 31.0 shots per game, which is tied for 10th in the NHL this season.
