Feed Your Jets Fan Fever at the Forks

The Winnipeg Jets welcome all fans to The Family FanZone at The Forks on Sunday, October 9 from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm for a day of family-friendly, alcohol-free celebrations including musical entertainment, contests, giveaways and of course, CBC’s Hockey Night in Canada featuring The Winnipeg Jets season-opener. The concert includes a special performance from Doc Walker, Quinzy, Keith and Renee, and more.

Join CBC Manitoba personalities Janet Stewart, Larry Updike and sports reporter Mitch Peacock as they host the Scotia Bank Stage fitted with three large screens starting at 12:00 pm. Before the big game, see special video features plus player profiles.
All day long, head over to the CBC FanZone tent and enter to win the daily prize, as well as the grand prize package that includes a tour of the Hockey Night in Canada broadcast truck, a $500 Jets Gear gift certificate and CBC merchandise. The first 1,000 people on site will receive free CBC Cheer Gear. PlayOn! Street Hockey will also be there running a three-on-three street hockey tournament throughout the day.
Starting at 3:30 p.m., fans not attending the Home Opener at MTS Centre will be able to watch the inaugural Jets game with a free telecast of CBC’s Hockey Night in Canada on massive screens. Stick around after the game to watch CBC Manitoba’s Jets vs. Canadiens Post-Game special starting at
7:00 p.m.
The post-game festivities will be highlighted by The Official Winnipeg Jets Inaugural Game After Burner Social at the Convention Centre. Doors for the event open at 2:30 pm. The Convention Centre will host an 18+ event with entertainment at 7:30 pm from Blue Rodeo and special guests.
