By the Numbers: Nikolaj Ehlers

Nikolaj Ehlers started his 2019-20 season with a three-assist performance against the New York Rangers, his first of four multi-point performances in the month of October - a span of 13 games.
At the time of the season pause, Ehlers had 12 multi-point games this season, including two in his last three games.
Of all the Jets players who have at least 500 minutes of time on ice, the 24-year-old Ehlers has a Corsi percentage of 53.83, which is the best on the team. That means the majority of the shot attempts that take place at five-on-five with Ehlers on the ice are directed toward the opposition's net.
It doesn't matter who he's on a line with, either.

Like many Jets this season, Ehlers had a number of different line mates.
For example, he had a three-point night on February 18 in a 6-3 win over the Los Angeles Kings playing with Mark Scheifele and Blake Wheeler.
Less than a month later, he had another three-point night, this time with Patrik Laine and Cody Eakin.

"Our two top lines have been here for many years now. When things get shuffled around a little bit, it's not something completely new. We know what we need to do when that happens," said Ehlers. "At this point, you're trying to get as close to playoff hockey as possible. That's keeping it simple. I'm trying to use my speed as much as I can in the right places and the right situations. It's something I have to keep doing."
