Twenty-five-year-old Michael Hutchinson enjoyed a sparkling rookie campaign, finishing the 2014-15 season with a 21-10-5 record, a 2.39 goals-against average and two shutouts. Here’s a closer look

at the goalie’s first year, by the numbers:


Hutchinson finished the year with the second-most wins among NHL rookies with 21. St. Louis Blues goalie Jake Allen paced the NHL freshmen with 22.


Hutchinson finished the year with a .914 save percentage.


During his busiest time of the season, in a span of nine starts from Feb. 10 – Mar. 7, 2015, Hutchinson earned six wins. He went 6-1-2 during that stretch.


Hutchinson set a career high with 39 saves on Dec. 23, 2014 in a Jets win over the Chicago Blackhawks.


Hutchinson went 3-1 in shootout games this season, stopping 12 of the 14 shooters he faced.
