by Mitchell Clinton (@MClinton007) / Winnipeg Jets

The countdown to puck drop on the Winnipeg Jets 2014-2015 season sits at 24 days today. That means Grant Clitsome is in the spotlight today.

Clitsome, a 29-year-old defenceman from Gloucester, Ontario, played 32 games for the Winnipeg Jets in 2013-2014, recording 12 points. His season was cut short by season-ending surgery. His last game came against Buffalo on December 17, 2013, where Clitsome recorded an assist.

Away from the ice, Clitsome is very active in politics. He minored in political science at Clarkson University, and is working to help Canadians understand the political process. Read more about Clitsome’s work in this feature article.

Here are some highlights from Clitsome’s time with the Jets so far.
