The two-week countdown to the Winnipeg Jets season opener is underway. Only 14 days until the Jets take on the Arizona Coyotes October 9 to open the 2014-2015 campaign.
With the number 14 being in the spotlight today, here is more information on forward Anthony Peluso.
Peluso, 25, played in 53 games for the Winnipeg Jets last season. The native of North York, Ontario played for Erie, Sault Ste. Marie, and Brampton in the OHL before he turned pro. He played three seasons with Peoria of the AHL before joining the Jets in 2012-2013.
Peluso scored two goals last season, including his first NHL goal against Nashville.
He is also involved in the Winnipeg community. Along with teammate Jim Slater, the two Jets visited the Winnipeg Police Service late last season to learn more about their jobs.
