Wang Provides a Better Life for Children Worldwide

As co-founder and chairman of Smile Train, New York Islanders Owner Charles Wang attended a dinner Thursday night at the Russian Tea Room in Manhattan to celebrate the non-profits’ recent landmark achievement. In 13 years, they’ve helped provide children around the globe receive over 750,000 cleft surgeries.

Smile Train is an international charity that provides those born with cleft lip or palate free reconstructive surgery. Their mission is to provide every child with the opportunity to lead a happy and fulfilling life.

Wang believes the need for cleft surgery is vital to a child’s future happiness and success. Smile Train has emerged as the world’s leading cleft charity.

At the event, Wang announced that the organization has pledged to reach a goal of “1 million smiles” over the next two and a half years. As a proud partner, the Islanders continue to support Smile Train and help the organization reach that goal.
