The finals are here, and now it's time for the fans to decide on the best goal of the 2013 season. The two candidates are John Tavares' Game 4 winner against Pittsburgh and Thomas Hickey's overtime game-winning marker in February at Montreal.
John Tavares - May 7 vs. Pittsburgh
After overcoming two deficits in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinal series against the Penguins, Tavares weaves through the Pittsburgh zone to put the Islanders ahead 5-4 midway through the third period.
Thomas Hickey - Feb. 21 at Montreal
After coming back from two separate two-goal deficits, the Islanders forced overtime, where John Tavares led a 3-on-2 attack into the Montreal zone. A falling Tavares pushed the puck to Michael Grabner, who found Hickey just outside the crease for his first NHL goal.
