Updates from Saturday night in the road to the 2012 Memorial Cup:

Kirill Kabanov – Kabanov had a goal and an assist as the Shawinigan Cataractes beat Rouyn-Noranda Huskies, 6-3, Saturday night to take a 2-0 series lead in the QMJHL playoffs. Shawinigan, the Memorial Cup hosts, will visit the Huskies for Games 3 and 4 Tuesday and Wednesday.

Ryan Strome
– The Niagara IceDogs will play Game 3 of their series at home tonight. The IceDogs are up 2-0.

Branden Kichton – The Spokane Chiefs fell 7-2 to the Vancouver Giants on Saturday. Kichton did not play in the game, and according to, Kichton was injured in the third period of Game 1 on Friday. The Chiefs are down 2-0 in the seres and take the ice again at home on Tuesday, March 27.

Andrey Pedan – The Guelph Storm play Game 2 in their series on the road at Plymouth tonight. Guelph has a 1-0 series lead.
