School is closed today, but the Nassau Coliseum is most definitely open! The Islanders will be celebrating Kids Day when they take on the Buffalo Sabres, beginning at 2 PM. All fans 14-and-under will receive a Bill Guerin kids jersey, courtesy of RexCorp. But the fun starts before the puck drops.
Beginning at Noon, the I.C.E. Tour will be holding its Fan Fest on the Plaza, just outside of the Coliseum box office. The Islanders RV will be equipped with hockey video games, and all of the interactive inflatable games will be set up for the kids to enjoy. In addition, the Islanders flagship radio station—WMJC 94.3 FM—will be set up on the Plaza, providing entertainment.

A great way to attend Kids Day is with a Family Fun Pack—which includes four tickets, four hats, four hot dogs, four sodas, and other great benefits. And best of all, you will save more than 50%. Click here to find out more.

While at the game, all young fans will have the opportunity to sign up for the 2008-09 Islanders Kidz Club, presented by Bethpage Federal Credit Union. The Islanders Kidz Club is a great chance for fans 14-and-under to show their Islanders pride. With great member benefits like a special Kidz Club T-shirt, discounts at the Team Store and invitations to exclusive club events, there’s no doubt your child will want to be a part of the Islanders Kidz Club! In addition, the band Push Play will be performing its hits prior to the start of the game, during the first intermission, and following the game.

Of course, no Kids Day would be complete without Sparky—and on Monday, he has invited many of his mascot friends to the game. Scheduled to appear are:
"Mr. Met"—New York Mets
"Stinger" — Columbus Blue Jackets
"NJ Devil" — New Jersey Devils
"Blades" — Boston Bruins
"Stanley C. Panther" — Florida Panthers
"Gnash" — Nashville Predators
