Islanders prospect Mitchell Theoret has found his goal scoring touch for the Niagara IceDogs in the Ontario Hockey League Eastern Conference Finals. He played hero in Game 1 with an overtime goal to lift the IceDogs to a 2-1 win over the Ottawa 67's, then helped Niagara take a 2-1 series lead in Game 3 with a two-goal game.

Theoret was selected by the Islanders in the seventh round (185th overall) of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft. He has three goals and three assists in 10 OHL Playoff games this year.

Theoret's teammate and fellow Islanders prospect Ryan Strome has one assist in each of the first three games of the Conference Finals. The Islanders first-round pick (fifth overall) in 2011 has six goals and 14 assists in 13 Playoff games this year.
