Jamie Benn scored a goal and added two assists while Jake Oettinger made 27 saves as the Dallas Stars rallied from 1-0 and 2-1 deficits for a 5-2 win over the Islanders before a crowd of 18,532 at American Airlines Center in Dallas.
Mathew Barzal scored his first two goals of the season to twice give the Isles a one-goal lead, but Mason Marchment tied the game 40 seconds after the second tally. The Stars outscored the Isles 3-0 in the third period, earning an insurance goal just moments after Ryan Suter swept a puck off his own goal line that would have tied the game.
The Isles have lost consecutive games for the first time since a three-game streak in October and fall to 11-8-0 on the season. The road trip finishes on Monday in Toronto.
