The Isles play their first divisional home game of the season as they entertain Carolina on Military Appreciation Night.
Last season the Isles won the final two games of the series after Carolina had taken the opening three.
Carolina has played particularly well against the Isles in New York in recent years; the Isles are only 2-6-2 in their last 10 home games against Carolina (with only one of those wins in regulation. In two years of play at Barclays Center, the Canes own two OT wins and a shootout win; the lone Islander win came in a shootout.
