Casey Cizikas scored the tying goal with 4:28 to play and Oliver Wahlstrom scored the only goal of a nine-round shootout as the Islanders completed a home-and-home sweep of the Philadelphia Flyers with a 4-3 win before a crowd of 16,362 at Wells Fargo Arena.
The Isles have won five of their last six games and are 8-3-1 in their last 12 games. They have also earned at least a point 12 times in the last 15 games (8-3-4). With the victory the Isles are back to NHL-.500 for the first time since a loss in Tampa Bay on November 15th dropped them to 5-5-2.

Wahlstrom's goal, the first in 16 attempts by an Islander this season, snapped a five-game losing streak in shootouts vs. the Isles. It was their first shootout win since April 8th, also vs. Philadelphia.
