Following a successful first season, the Islanders Business Club is gearing up to be even better for the 2008-09 season. With more events planned prior to games, new surprise guests and its own headquarters right in the Nassau Coliseum Expo Hall, the Islanders Business Club will have even more opportunities for you to interact with potential clients and grow your business.
On June 4, you're invited to preview the new home of the Islanders Business Club in the Nassau Coliseum Expo Hall. Islanders owner Charles Wang will be in attendance and will address event guests, along with Head Coach Ted Nolan and General Manager Garth Snow. Meet and mingle with Islanders legends Clark Gillies and Bob Nystrom as well as current Islanders Mike Sillinger and Kyle Okposo
"It is so great to have a premiere space for Long Island businesses to do business together right here at the Coliseum. This season promises to be something special for the Islanders Business Club", said the Business Club's Executive Director Mike Bossy.
"The New York Islanders have found a business to business niche that other NHL teams are duplicating given how well it was received last season", said NHL Vice President for Club Consulting and Services Jeff Morander. "With the quality and frequency of the events, there's something for just about everyone."
Whether you are a current "IBC" member or a potential new one, you're sure to enjoy an evening of food, drink and networking in the IBC's new home. This plush spot features leather couches, memorabilia walls, dining areas and flat screen televisions and will be the perfect place to meet, greet and entertain. On hand for this special event will be world renowned mentalist and illusionist Wayne Hoffman, as well as musical artist Jill Gioia.
"Last season we had visits from Entourage's Kevin Connolly and superstar Christie Brinkley", said Islanders VP of Operations and Events Tim Beach. "You never know who's going to walk through the door at a Business Club event."
Doors to this IBC event open at 6:15.
The Islanders Business Club is a business and social network built around Long Island's ONLY major league sports franchise. Membership includes Islanders season tickets, fourteen catered pre-game networking events, plus other great opportunities to meet with local business leaders.
"From the very first Islanders Business Club event, we knew we were onto something big", said IBC member Ray Calvano of "3 J's Limo". "We made some new friends, met a lot of interesting people, and even met some old friends. Along the way we picked up new clients and were able to entertain clients at some of the most exciting hockey games played at the Coliseum. We look forward to a fruitful new season."
The Islanders are already anticipating a sharp increase in IBC membership and are limiting the number of members to 1,000. For more information about the Islanders Business Club or to request an IBC application, please call Executive Director Mike Bossy at 1-866-96-NYICE
