Come watch Nassau's high school All-Stars battle Suffolk's high school All-Stars on the Nassau Coliseum ice, Monday, January 21 following the Islanders-Hurricanes contest at 2 pm

Long Island Hockey Fest, set for Monday, January 21, will culminate with one final match. The Lighthouse Cup, featuring the best house league high school players from Nassau County versus Suffolk County's high school All-Stars, will take place on the Nassau Coliseum ice at 5 pm, following the Islanders-Carolina Hurricanes contest at 2 pm. Formerly known as the Vytra Cup, the Lighthouse Cup was adopted by the Islanders as part of its week-long Hockey Fest.

Thanks to the generosity of SMG, the Nassau Coliseum's managing company, the Lighthouse Cup will be played at no cost to the participants or the Islanders.

“SMG management looked at this tournament as an opportunity to further develop youth hockey on Long Island," said Nassau Coliseum General Manager, Chris Wright. "We are proud to have the Nassau Coliseum as the home of such an expansive youth hockey endeavor. We felt it was only right that those sponsoring this tournament be able to use the Coliseum ice. We wish the players involved all the best in what should be a very exciting week of hockey.”

The winner of the game will win the first-ever Lighthouse Cup, which in the style of the Stanley Cup will feature the names of past recipients.

Participants of both teams will receive two tickets to the Islanders-Carolina game played earlier that day. During the second intermission of the Islanders game, the All-Stars will be recognized on the video board.

Between periods of the Lighthouse Cup match, the JV All-Stars from Nassau and Suffolk County will play mini-games. For those not attending the Islanders game, entry into the game will be a $5 donation to the Islanders Children's Foundation.

A portion of the proceeds from the ticket sales to Monday's Islanders contest will go to Long Island High School Club Hockey.

Fans attending the Islanders-Hurricanes game on Monday can bring in two slightly used or new pieces of hockey equipment and receive a ticket voucher to the Islanders-Ottawa Senators contest on Tuesday, January 29. One ticket voucher per two pieces of equipment.
