Teamwork 101 With Steve Webb and Friends

by Staff Writer / New York Islanders

Steve Webb, along with Samantha the Ice Girl and Sparky, made their way out to Lindenhurst this morning to make a stop at Harding Avenue Elementary school for another “We’re All Islanders” school assembly program.  The gym was packed with all 300 students of the school as they were in for a real treat.  Steve got up in front of everyone and talked all about how important teamwork is in order to achieve success.  He went on to explain that the room was not filled with 300 people, but 300 classmates, who are the same as a teammate.  They are people you can rely on, help out, trust, respect, and help grow with.  The message was very powerful and really got through to all the kids who were having a lot of fun partaking in the demonstration to prove how helpful teamwork is, in which 3 students dress one of their teammates in goalie equipment while a teacher struggles doing it on their own.  Steve and his gang left, but not before making sure that each child in attendance received a great Islanders gift bag.
