A thunderstorm did not get in the way of the Jeff Tambellini and the Islanders Summer I.C.E. Tour on Wednesday, as the group made its way to Buckley Country Day Camp in Roslyn. With everything set up outside on the beautiful grounds of the day camp, a fierce thunderstorm quickly rolled through sending everyone running inside to continue the day. Once relocated inside, all the campers were given a chance to spin the Islanders prize wheel and try their luck on the Islanders slapshot booth. If that wasn’t enough to keep the kids smiling, Tambellini took the time to sign autographs and take pictures with the kids and play some street hockey with them. “Despite the bad weather coming through we had a good third day,” Tambellini said. “The kids at today’s camp didn’t let the weather ruin their day. Everyone that came inside the gym to see us had a blast.”
