After practice on Wednesday, Islanders forward Jeff Tambellini paid a visit to Schneider Children’s Hospital in New Hyde Park. Tambellini went to the Bone Marrow Unit and other various wings of the hospital, including the Adolescent floor. All the patients were excited to meet Jeff, who handed out autographs, Islanders hats and even a ticket to watch Jeff play during the December 6th game, when the Islanders host Schneider Children’s Hospital Night. During this game a portion of the proceeds will be go back to the renovation of the hospital.

“I’m glad I was able to come down to the hospital today and visit with all the kids,” said Tambellini. “Anytime you can put a smile on a kids face that is going through a hard time, it’s worth it. Days like today are ones I will remember for a long time. I am looking forward to coming back next month and seeing everyone I visited today out at the December 6th game. “We promise to make it a special night for everyone.”
