Summer Fun At Newbridge Arena

by Staff Writer / New York Islanders

The Islanders summer I.C.E Tour kicked off June by paying a visit to the Newbridge Arena down in Bellmore this morning. When the tour had arrived at the ice rink in Newbridge Park, they set up some of their popular Family Fan Fest inflatables inside the rink. The slap shot booth and obstacle course were set up behind the end boards for all the mites, mini mites, and squirts playing in summer leagues to come and enjoy while they waited for the game to begin or after their game had ended. Sparky and some of the Ice Girls were also on hand, wishing all the young skaters good luck as they headed out onto the rink. Sparky even made his way outside the rink to take a swing in the softball game that was taking part right next to the arena, although after he swung and missed, decided that he will stick to his favorite sport, hockey!
