STUDENTS: WELCOME TO "LOUDVILLE"

by Staff Writer / New York Islanders

$10 tix, one per Student ID, available in unique new Islanders cheering section

Hey Islander fans, here's your chance to go to your team's games for just TEN BUCKS (!) and be part of the best cheering section in professional sports.

Welcome to "LOUDVILLE."

How do you get to LOUDVILLE? Four easy steps:

1. Show up at the Coliseum loud and proud to be an Islanders fan. (Don't forget to show your true colors by wearing your NYI jersey, cap, whatever!)

2. LOUDVILLE tickets go on sale 60 minutes before game time, so line up at the Coliseum box office with your friends and/or make some new ones among the community of young Islanders fans on line.

3. Bring your Student ID! There is a limit of one $10 LOUDVILLE ticket per ID. Sorry folks, but there will be no exceptions.

4. Once you get to the LOUDVILLE section, do your part to help lead the crowd in giving the Islanders the best home-ice advantage in the NHL!

"We're pleased to offer one of the most student-friendly deals in pro sports," said Chris Dey, the team's Senior Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Operations. "Our goal is to sell out the Coliseum on a regular basis, which requires us to reach and provide opportunities for several different target segments. The LOUDVILLE program and the student discount program allow us to reach the students and make a positive impact on the game atmosphere. At the end of the day we want our fans and our home ice to be the difference makers on game day."

Tickets are based on availability. The only games the $10 seats are not available are when the Islanders host the New York Rangers, so that means students have a chance to make it to LOUDVILLE for ten bucks to hot games that will be sellouts such as Opening Night on Oct. 6, Kids Opening Day on Oct. 8, Firefighters Appreciation Night against Brent Sutter and the Devils on Oct. 20 and Al Arbour Night, #1,500 on Nov. 3.

Students: stay tuned to newyorkislanders.com and Islanders TV throughout the season for LOUDVILLE updates.
