Town of Oyster Bay Summer 2021
The New York Islanders Street Hockey program partnered with the Town of Babylon to host 3 street hockey sessions, each on a different day of the week and at a different location. The programs biggest partnership to date saw 200 participants from both Nassau and Suffolk County grow their skillset at Marjorie Post Park in Massapequa, Ellsworth W. Allen Park in Farmingdale, and Syosset-Woodbury Community Park in Syosset. The collaborative effort provided flexibility to work around a summer schedule, and provided children the opportunity to participate in outdoor hockey rinks scattered throughout the Town of Oyster Bay. Sparky traveled from location to location, proving to be a tough goaltender throughout the summer.
