Friedberg JCC Summer Street Hockey - July 23-24, 2019

The Islanders Street Hockey team visited the Friedberg Jewish Community Center's summer camps this past week, July 23rd and July 24th, seeing over 170 kids grades K-7th. Campers were treated to clinics, mascot Sparky, and competitive scrimmages during the morning. Players showcased their passing, shooting, and stick handling skills throughout a series of drills before breaking into competitive and fun scrimmages. Tuesday, July 23rd saw the visit of 120 kids at the JCC's Shore Road location in Bellmore, NY and Wednesday, July 24th saw the visit of 50 kids at the Brookside Administration location in Merrick, NY. The Islanders have been a proud partner of the Friedberg JCC and their many locations over Nassau County providing street hockey equipment, visits, and clinics for the past two years.
