St. Christopher's Learns Valuable Lesson

by Staff Writer / New York Islanders

After finishing up teaching the youngsters at Carle Place Middle School, Steve Webb made his way down to Baldwin along with Kristy the Ice Girl and Sparky to hold yet another “We’re All Islanders” school assembly, this time at St. Christopher’s school.  The basement of the school, transformed into an auditorium for the day decorated in signs supporting the Islanders made by the students, was filled with the 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders as they were in for a real treat.  Through the use of a video provided by ITV, two great interactive demonstrations, and the real life experiences of a pro, Steve Webb was really able to hammer home the message of how important it is for everyone to work together in order to be successful in life.  The kids had a blast learning from a pro and had a great time.  When the assembly concluded, all the children left with giant smiles on their faces, a real grasp on the concept of teamwork, and a great Islander gift bag.  To find out more about the “We’re All Islanders” school assembly program and how you can get it at your school next year, call (516) 501-6870.
