Sparky wore the most comfortable pair of shoes in his closet for his weekend around Long Island. All together Sparky and the I.C.E. Tour made their way to EIGHT different events!
There was plenty of money to be raised for good causes and Sparky was glad to help out wherever he could. The Islanders and Sparky teamed up with the Cystic Fibrosis Walk, Collette Coyne Melanoma Awareness Walk, and the Long Beach Breast Cancer Awareness Walk to raise funds and awareness. Although there was a little bit of wet weather, it wasn't enough to stop everyone from coming out to support their cause of choice.
With three events down and five more to go, Sparky and the I.C.E. Tour headed over to spend some time at St. Mary's Family Fun Day at Belmont Park, Driftwood Camp, 16th Annual Oyster Bay Health and Fitness Fair , and a Bar Mitzvah. Last, but not least, Sparky was at the Islanders Spring Hockey Clinic at Newbridge Arena where Sparky joined the coaches to help demonstrate different drills and skills to all the hockey players. More than 1500 people showed up to these events and many of them got to go home with a free giveaway item just for signing up for the Free Islanders Kids Club.
