Sparky Lends A Hand At Otsego Elementary

by Staff Writer / New York Islanders

Otsego Elementary School, located in Dix Hills, began their Literacy Week on Monday.  During this week, students will be engaged in a variety of reading exercises and will be visited by many special guests to reiterate the importance reading to the students.  When Sparky found out about this, he immediately wanted to be a part of such an important week at the school.  Just as the Islanders had the “We’re All Islanders” School Assembly Program this year where alumni like Steve Webb and Eric Cairns went to over 25 schools to talk about the importance of teamwork, Sparky wanted to show his support to the students at Otsego Elementary as they all learned the importance of reading.  Sparky was very happy to be a part of something so important and had a great time visiting all of his friends within the school.
