SPARKY AND ICE GIRLS KICK OFF HOLIDAY SEASON AT REXCORP PLAZA

by Staff Writer / New York Islanders

The Ice Girls and everyone’s favorite mascot, Sparky, made there way across Hempstead Turnpike to RexCorp Plaza to officially kick off the holiday season with the ceremonial tree lighting.  Fans in attendance got to spend some time with Sparky and catch some shirts the Ice Girls shot into the large crowd.  Despite the cold weather, many fans braved the elements and came out in full force to be a part of the fun and special day.  The ice rink was open for visitors to skate on and the windows were filled with beautiful winter and Christmas scenes.  Many fans then were able to head back across the street just in time for the puck to drop at 7pm to be a part of the Town of Oyster Bay Night game at the Coliseum.
