Sign up for Islanders School Day, Presented by Baked in Brooklyn

by Staff Writer / New York Islanders

While they are on the ice, the Islanders entire focus is on winning the hockey game, but off the ice, the players and management know that there are bigger things such as education and school. The team will participate in Islanders School Day, presented by Baked in Brooklyn, on Wednesday, Nov. 18, taking place from 9 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.

The Islanders want all elementary school principals, teachers and students to get their schools involved in the big event! For one day, the entire team will visit local schools to discuss teamwork, the importance of education and the importance of making healthy lifestyle choices.

In order to sign your school up for this unique opportunity, have your school representatives send us an email providing the following information:

  1. Name of School and Address of School
  2. Number of Students in School
  3. School Contact and Phone Number
  4. Why the students in your school deserve this assembly. Be sure to give examples of how your school works together as a team to accomplish goals and to help others.
  5. How does your school show their Islanders team spirit? Include a picture to the email to demonstrate your school’s spirit.

All submissions are due by Monday, Nov. 2. All selected schools will be notified in a timely manner to set up the assembly.
