. When our 6:30 a.m. flight out of LaGuardia was cancelled for being "unable to crew" we were very disappointed. The 11 a.m. shoot now in jeopardy, we all began brainstorming on some new ideas. We are still hopeful to set something up with Kyle for later in the day.

So what is there to do in an airport for five hours? Do some last minute reading on the draft and blog.
Thanks to the help of Islanders Draft Central
and nhl.com's extensive coverage
and mock drafts, I think I'm ready to make a few predictions of my own. And by that I mean wagers, and because of any bets or mock drafts I may be placing bets on, I will not divulge my 1-30 here.
But what is more interesting to us here in Islanders Country is what happens when Garth Snow is on the clock. There are a compelling group of players that will most likely be around at No. 5. Couturier, Larsson, Baertschi, Hamilton, and Strome are all in the mix according to the experts. Undoubtedly everyone has their inner GM going, and will think they know just what the Islanders need. I will leave that to the General Manager, as I am no whiz at hockey ops, just a girl looking to make an few extra dollars on some lucky guesses.
What I can tell you is that we have planned to bring some great coverage to newyorkislanders.com, the draft party at the Coliseum (click here to get your free tickets)
