Fans flock to Coliseum for ticket plans, visits with Garth and players

Members of the Schneider, Lebedin, Rothberg and Steinberg families
For the second year in a row, the Islanders opened their doors the Coliseum ones for fans to purchase season and partial plans after visiting the team's locker room and its players, Tuesday night.

Following a greeting by the Ice Girls and Sparky, visitors were met in the locker room by Chris Campoli, Wade Dubielewicz and Islanders alum Steve Webb. Some of the youngest Islanders fans were ecstatic upon seeing their stars in person, including members of the Schneider, Rothberg, Steinberg and Lebedin families.

"We've been buying group tickets together for about five years," said Laurie Lebedin. "We've had birthday parties here because it's such a great place and so accessible. The kids are so excited by these events. We'll be here until the place closes down because they love this."

Added Campoli: "It's always a pleasure meeting kids and putting smiles on their faces. Dubie and I had a lot of fun tonight."

Guests were also invited to visit the training room, and equipment room to see where the players prepare for their games each night.

The tour of the Coliseum wasn't over with Campoli, Dubie, Webb and the players' facilities. Fresh off making difficult decisions with the roster, Garth Snow welcomed fans to the Coliseum office for some friendly chatter.

"It's great meeting the fans and getting their input," said Snow. "It was a tough day with all of the cuts being made, but there's always time for the fans."
