The “We’re All Islanders” school assembly program visited another 6 schools last week, bringing the total amount of schools visited up to 27. Dina and Sparky have traveled the full length of Long Island, going as far west as Sunnyside, Queens and venturing out east this week to East Hampton. Schools visited this week included Deasy Elementary and Landing Elementary of Glen Cove, Springs School of East Hampton, Saw Mill Intermediate School in Commack, North Coleman Road Elementary in Centereach, and PS 30 of South Jamaica. Each school had great reviews of the assembly program that focuses on teaching the children the importance of teamwork through interactive demonstrations, comparisons between the structure of the Islanders and a school, and a video of the current Islanders discussing how they use teamwork everyday.
