The "We’re All Islanders” School Assembly program, sponsored by Supercuts and National Grid, made four more stops this week, including Saw Mill Road Elementary in Bellmore, Margariette L. Mulvey Elementary of Central Islip, Newbridge Road Elementary in Bellmore, and Rolling Hills Primary School of Dix Hills. Arena hostess Dina, along with her good friend Sparky, saw more than 1,800 young faces light up with excitement as they talked to the students about the importance of teamwork. Dina also drew parallels on how the school functions similar to the way the Islanders organization does. A video segment of the current team explaining the importance of teamwork, as well as two interactive demonstrations really helped the children understand how cooperating and working as one can help accomplish their goals. Each child visited also walked away with a great Islanders giveaway.
