After setting a personal new best for amount of students visited last school week, this week marked the greatest amount of distance covered by the “We’re All Islanders” school assembly program, presented by the Supercuts and National Grid. With four stops this week, Dina and Sparky traveled from Queens all the way out to the Hamptons with stops in between in Merrick and Hicksville. Schools visited this week included PS 24 of Flushing, Lee Avenue Elementary of Hicksville, Camp Avenue Elementary of Merrick, and Hampton Bays Elementary. Dina and Sparky explained the importance of teamwork to more than 2,000 kids through the fun-filled assembly and left the children with big smiles on their faces.
