Final

The New York Islanders suffered a 6-1 loss on Saturday against the St. Louis Blues at Enterprise Center to close out a five-game road trip.
Justin Faulk (2G, 1A), Vladimir Tarasenko (1G, 2A), Ivan Barbashev (1G, 1A), Robert Thomas (1G, 2A), former Islander Nick Leddy and scored for St Louis. Grant Hutton was the lone scorer for the Islanders, achieving his first career tally in the NHL.
The Islanders and Blues each had 31 shots on goal. With the victory, the Blues (94 points) leapfrogged the Minnesota Wild (92 points) for second place in the Central Division. The Islanders (75 points) are now 13 points back of the Washington Capitals (88 points) after the Caps 6-3 win over Pittsburgh on Saturday.

1st Period:
14:21 STL 1, NYI 0 - The Blues strike first, as Nick Leddy finds the back of the net off a clean pass from Robert Thomas. The former Islander scores his third goal of the season, his second for St. Louis.
17:10 STL 2, NYI 0 - Vladimir Tarasenko scores his team-leading 26th goal of the season off a rebound by Colton Parayko. After Varlamov's initial save on Parayko, Tarasenko buries a loose puck to extend the Blues' lead. Thomas is credited with the secondary assist for his second point of the night.
2nd Period:
4:05 STL 3, NYI 0 - Justin Faulk finds open ice to beat Varlamov through traffic to extend the Blues' lead.
5:41 STL 4, NYI 0 - Justin Faulk bats in his second goal of the night off a rebound by Jordan Kyrou on a three-on-one Blues' rush.
16:57 STL 5, NYI 0 - Varlamov denies a Kyrou breakaway attempt, but Ivan Barbashev is the first player to a loose puck in the crease as St. Louis scores their fifth goal of the night. Barbashev extends his point streak to six games.
18:41 STL 5, NYI 1 - Grant Hutton gets the Islanders on the board, with a blast that caroms off a defenseman's stick, earning his first career NHL goal. Brock Nelson tallied the sole assist.
19:20 STL 6, NYI 1 - St. Louis answers quickly with a snapshot from Thomas in the circle, off a feed from Tarasenko.

Casey Cizikas received a one-game suspension on Saturday for boarding Brendan Smith in Friday's battle with the Carolina Hurricanes. With the Islanders in need of a center, Andy Andreoff was recalled from Bridgeport. Andreoff recorded three hits in the game, skating 10:04. Andreoff played in 185 NHL games and Saturday was his sixth wearing an Islanders uniform… With a three-point performance on Saturday, Thomas extended his point streak to nine games… Binnington earned his first win since Feb. 27, improving his record to 14-13-4 on the season… Brandon Saad picked up a point in his 700th NHL game on Saturday.
GOALTENDING MATCHUP:
Semyon Varlamov stopped 25 of 31 in the loss.
Jordan Binnington stopped 30 of 31 in the win.
SPECIAL TEAMS:
The Islanders power play went 0-for-2, but their penalty kill went perfect on the night, effectively killing off all four St. Louis power plays. The Islanders extended their penalty-killing streak to 21 consecutive kills.
