The Islanders had a plethora of picks in the fourth round four via a number of trades. With the picks, the Isles selected a variety of talented forwards and a netminder to bolster their farm system including right winger Rhett Rakhshani, goaltender Jase Weslosky, center Tomas Marcinko and center Doug Rogers.

Here are the four 4th round selections.

With the 100th pick, the Islanders selected right winger Rhett Rakhshani with their first of four picks in the fourth round of the Draft in Vancouver.

Rakhshani played for the US National Developmental Program during the 2005-2006 season, tallying 18 goals, 23 assists and 41 points in 50 games.

The University of Denver prospect is a shifty and agile skater. He has a strong nose for the net. Rakhshani's skill and speed will bring excitement to the Coliseum crowd.

"Rhett is a skilled player with a great first couple of steps," said Islanders scout Brian Hunter. "He is real quick with the puck in tight areas, and sees the ice well. He'll be a joy to watch for Islanders fans."

Rakhshani is also known for setting the tone for his teammates with gritty play and a strong worth ethic.

Jase Weslosky played for Sherwood Park of the Alberta Junior Hockey League last season and will attend St. Cloud State in the fall of 2007.

"He is very quick and agile goaltender," said Islanders goalie coach Sudarshan Maharaj. "He is in the same mold as Marc-Andre Fleury, and should develop into a promising No. 1 netminder."

Tomas Marcinko 115th overall

Doug Rogers 119th overall
