5-game slate includes Coliseum matchup with Rangers

Islanders general manager Garth Snow released the team's exhibition schedule today.

The 5-game schedule includes one home game at Nassau Coliseum: Friday night, Sept. 29 against the New York Rangers.

There will also be an NHL pre-season game between the Islanders and Devils on Sept. 30 at the Arena at Harbor Yard, the home rink of the Bridgeport Sound Tigers.

Following a week of training camp in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, the Islanders will remain in the province for their first two pre-season games, both against the Boston Bruins: Sept. 22 in Moncton and the following night in Halifax. The Islanders will play the Rangers at Madison Square Garden on Sept. 25.
