HUNTING DOWN OPPONENTS: Trent Hunter plays a mean game. The Red Deer, AB native currently ranks fifth in the NHL with 84 hits. Last season, he finished fifth in the NHL and second on the Islanders with 246 hits.

A PRO AT FACEOFFS: Faceoff specialist Mike Sillinger is up to his old tricks again. The 17-year veteran continues to climb the NHL faceoff charts. I'LL TAKE IT: The Islanders are using Sillinger’s faceoff prowess to good use. Sillinger ranks sixth in the NHL by taking 34.6 percent of the Islanders’ faceoffs. Last season, Sillinger ranked fourth in the NHL with a 58.8 faceoff winning percentage.
